Affordable Housing Project Portfolio

The corporation and its sister organization Odell-Jalna Residences of London now own and operate 445 affordable housing units in seven locations with a mix of townhomes and apartments. The most recent development was Nelson Place at 570 Nelson Street, completed in 2010.

Ormah Gibson Tower

390 Burwell Street. 90 Units. 12 wheelchair-accessible units. The first non profit housing project build in London in ten years. Apartment Building. Small families, single adults. One, two and three bedroom suites. Activity centre.

Named after one of our founding members, Ormah Gibson Tower is located near the corner of Burwell and Dundas Streets, in an area that is undergoing significant revitalization, only a five minute walk of the many shops and services of downtown London. A grocery mart is located just around the corner. This building represents affordable downtown living at its best.

Tecumseh Place

A new affordable housing project consisting of twenty two one-bedroom units. Completed in mid June of 2015. The building is now fully occupied.

Nelson Place Apartments

The new apartments at Nelson Place are a mix of one and two bedroom suites and will house singles, couples and small families. The 52 unit building is well located close to core area schools, training centres, support services, and jobs. One of the unique features of the building is the inclusion of fully accessible one bedroom units for persons with physical disabilities on the main floor.

Talmill Towers

693 Talbot Street (Near Oxford and Richmond Row.) 57 Units. Four floor apartment building with elevators. Home for small families and single adults. Located near jobs, the shops and excitement of Richmond Row, downtown, social services, hospitals, bike paths, parks, university, grocery store and public transportation. Cared for by an experienced and watchful property manager and his dog.

Jalna Woods

870 Jalna Blvd. (Just South of Southdale) 64 townhouses. Built in 1986, this family townhome complex features 26 two-bedroom units and 38 three-bedroom units, with one parking space per each of the 64 units. Close to shopping, bus routes, elementary schools, banks, churches, parks, library, grocery store, video store and school bus pick-up for secondary schools. Not far from White Oaks Mall, community swimming pool on Bradley and Highway 401.

Odell Place

796 Shelbourne Street (Near Pond Mills and Commissioners). 67 townhomes: 36 two-bedroom units, 29 three-bedroom units, 2 four-bedroom units, 2 two-bedroom wheelchair-accessible units and 1 three-bedroom wheelchair-accessible unit. Built in 1988. Near plaza, library, shopping, banks, restaurants, grocery stores, schools, public transportation and a short ride from Victoria hospital. Quick access to Highway 401 through Highbury.

Wavell Village

2010 Wavell Street. Built in 1992 and located near Clarke Road behind Argyle Mall, this cozy complex of family homes features 55 townhouses including 28 two-bedroom units, 27 three-bedroom units, 2 two-bedroom wheelchair-accessible units and 1 three-bedroom wheelchair-accessible unit. Each unit comes equipped with a fridge, stove and one parking space. There is a coin operated laundry facility and a common room. The complex is located near shopping, grocery store, banks, elementary and secondary schools, churches, parks and access to city buses. This non-profit housing townhome complex received the 1992 Urban Design Award from the City of London.

Ottaway Place

235 Grey Street (Near Wellington South of Horton). This nine-storey apartment building features 60 apartments including 3 one-bedroom wheelchair-accessible units, 5 two-bedroom units and 52 one-bedroom units for adults, couples and seniors. Each unit comes with a stove, fridge and one parking space. The building has a community activity room and laundry facilities. Located near public transportation, restaurants, churches, banks, drug store, youth services and the Goodwill second-hand store.
